RACE 7 & 8 RESULTS

DANTHEMAN AND BANNBINO TAKE THE HONOURS AS PADDOCK RUMOURS OF DRIVERS QUITTING ARE RIFE

Post race paddock talk after Canada and Valencia were rife with rumours of drivers quitting. First off was Scuderia Sheepwash's bsheepie, who has clashed a few times with brother and team mate Sheepie UK along with Villa John of the DBA's who has struggled for most of the season so far culminating in a bizarre incident back in Monaco. Bernie commented "I've had nothing for sure, the lure of WRC being the best drivers in the world is obvioulsy appealing to anyone but as far as I'm concerned we've still got 5 teams and 10 drivers for the rest of the season"

Race 7 - Canada - DantheMan takes another win

And so Canada and qualy was entertaing. Sheepie UK having set the fastest time of the session after 5 minutes was on another hot lap and closing in on Satak0 who was on an outlap. Satak0 pulled off to the left to give space but Sheepie UK lost concentration and put a wheel over the left kerb on turn 4 which dragged him right into the back of Satak0 who was stunned with the incident. Sheepie UK though who last time out hit the back of the safety car bore the rath of the stewards again and was hit with a 10 grid place penalty putting him last on the starting grid.

DantheMan secured pole and the usual 1st corner shennanigans ensued with several drivers going off and clashes ensued. Serveral drivers coming unstuck just under the right left hander under the bridge with Squeak83 clashing with Villa John obtaning two penalties, and Villa John also getting a deserved 10 second penalty when a lap down caught Satak0 in the DRS zone and tried to get past down the long straight but was going into the pits so tried a stupid move in trying to get past before pitting and only succeded in hitting Satak0 as he was turning into the last corner with Villa John ending up dragging him into the pits with him. Iregretnothing who has not had much track time crashed about lap 7 which luckily didn't bring out the safety car. DantheMan cruised to a win with over 30 seconds to spare, Sheepie UK with the drive of the day coming from the back of the grid to claim 2nd with Squeak getting 3rd only to be demoted to 5th due to the earlier 20 second penalties. That handed 3rd to Bannbino who still seeks his 1st Canadian win, with R0ckeye going upto 4th. The ever improving Marchin Sausage took 6th having earlier been 2nd, Satak0 getting 7th with bsheepie 8th and Villa John having to settle for 9th.

Onto Valencia and another pole from DantheMan. Though this time he didn't get it all his own way and lost a front wing during the race which cost him several places. Bsheepie was less than happy during the race with Squeak83 who accused him of cutting back onto the track without looking and the two collided with the stewards handing bsheepie a penalty. Bannbino took the lead after Dan lost his wing which also promoted Sheepie UK into 2nd. Sheepie UK was catching Bannbino but had to contend with DantheMan gaining on him. Sheepie UK though couldn't hang onto 2nd with his tyres fading fast and after some close scrapping with Dan had to settle for 3rd, DantheMan claiming 2nd and still yet to finish any lower. Squeak83 took a good 4th with another impressive outing for Marchin Sausage in 5th, Satak0 sneaking 6th from bsheepie due to the earlier penalty which meant he had to settle for 7th, a nightmare weekend for current world champion R0ckeye continued who suffered a 10 grid penalty and could only get 8th, with Villa John's miserable run continuing in 9th. Yet again the lack of hours showed for IRegretNothing who crashed his Red Bull again to receive another DNF - again luckily not forcing the SC to come out.

So next up F1 comes home to Silverstone and the UK GP followed by Germany and a return to Hockenheim..... We will have a full grid with all the rumours abound? Will Dan ever finish lower than second.......
