EASY TARGET DOES IT AS BANNBINO LOSES 100% RECORD

Well Sheepie UK's predicition that Bannbino was beatable came true in Spain and Monaco......except it wasn't the season 1 champion who ended the 100% record. Easy Target, a pre-season favourite for the team title for many, saw drivers R0ckeye and Squeak claim a victory each. R0ckeye taking Spain with Squeak breaking R0ckeye's record at Monaco to claim the win. Sheepie UK however will point towards a technical issue that beset him on the 3rd lap of Spain when he was pulling away in the lead.
"I pulled off a great move down the start/finish straight on the 2nd lap having saved up my kers and took Bannbino easily" Said Sheepie UK. He continued "Bannbino then made a mistake at turn 3 with Adman taking 2nd and i was pulling away when on the 3rd lap my visor "misted up" and I couldn't see jack"

So Easy Target claimed a 1st and 5th in Spain to claw back points on the title leaders Softly Softly Catchy Monkey. They are still out in front despite Villa John being off the pace in the last two races due to driving with an massive ankle injury. Bannbino taking 2nd place in both Spain and Monaco to give them a 21 point lead. With Sheepie UK having to settle for 4th in Spain and getting 5th in Monaco with Bsheepie getting 6th and 8th Scuderia Sheepwash remain in 3rd on 142 points. The Back Grid Boys maintain a healthy 4th position in the team title, with both drivers Azaxir and Snufkinn finishing both races to get points. Not too far behind are the Rucking Funts, Adman showing some of last season form in Spain being in the lead at one point only to smash his Ferrari in the pits and having to retire. Tempy303 experiencing a nightmare in Monaco having seemingly pitted on nearly every other lap for a new wing. Team Benneton jump up to 6th mainly thanks to Hypno picking up a 3rd and 4th place respectively, with team mate Satak0 finishing last in Spain and crashing out of Monaco. Hypno was none too pleased with him after the race and was rumoured to express his concerns publicly on the internet but so far no driver changes yet. The unluckiest team of the last races were Schumacher me sick. Having shown good form prior to Spain and Monoco, EagleJay failed to make the grid with DantheMan risking worn tyres in Spain only to spin on the last corner of the last lap to total his Merc and DNF. Worse was to follow in Monaco with the safety car being deployed as early as lap 2 due to Satak0 crashing, Dan failed to spot the safety car coming out of the pits and duly rammed it up the dirtbox for a DSQ. Dan was furious afterwards complaing to stewards but they were too busy to care due to dishing out over 6 penalties to other drivers for infringements. Last but not least are Bring Back Tyrrell, Spunky UK failing to make it due to other commitments so the points were left up to Enkidu to bring home. He managed 9th in Spain but Monaco claimed the rookie in the wall to claim it's 3rd victim of the race.

And so as the crews move onto races 7 and 8, Canada and Valencia, lets get the lowdown.......

RACE 7 - CANADA

Previous winners:
Season 2 = Cheesman69Boi
Season 1 = R0ckeye

Named in honour of the ever-popular Canadian driver following his death in 1982, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is warmly welcomed back on to the Formula One calendar since 2010. Located on the île Notre-Dame, a man-made island in the St. Lawrence River, the circuit is a stop-start combination of short, slow corners and chicanes linked by long straights, making for a challenging circuit for engineers that is hard on engines and brakes.

The circuit invariably claims a number of casualties. You can have a perfect lap all the way round but if you hit the kerbs through the final chicane badly, it will throw you off with only the now infamous 'Wall of Champions' to collect you.

Here is the circuit layout....

RACE 8 - VALENCIA (EUROPE)

Previous Winners:
Season 2 = Bannbino
Season 1 = Tempy303

The name 'street circuit' conjures up images of a 'tight', 'twisty', 'slow' circuit with 'minimal overtaking'. However, whilst the Valencia Street Circuit partially rewrites the book on three of those counts, overtaking remains minimal. Winding through the city's harbour and docklands, Spain's second race on the calendar is fast, sweeping and wide with drivers reaching top speeds in excess of 300kph (186 mph) at the end of the main straight. There are also relatively few run-off areas leaving little margin for error and perhaps discouraging aggressive moves.

Here is the circuit layout..........

Lets see Button and Kubica battle it out on the first lap here in 2010

So can Easy Target continue to put pressure on Softly Softly Catchy Monkey and can Season 1 Champion Sheepie UK finally get a first win in 31 races?

As usual.......CU Next Time.......... Very Happy
