ROCKEYE TAKES COMMAND AS DAN THE MAN PICKS UP 2 WINS

With Season 2 champion Bannbino departed, it opened the way for Easy Target to gain further advantage of their lead. But it was DantheMan in the Force India for new team DBA's who took the honours in both Silverstone and become the first winner at the Nurburgring. This has made it not only close now in the drivers title but also mixes it up in the team challenge too. R0ckeye is the new driver leader with 156 points, nearest rival is Easy Target team mate Squeak who despite missing the home GP sits just 5 points behind with 151. Easy Target lead the way in the teams by over 80 points from Scuderia Sheepwash who struggled in the last two races. Drive By Assassins are in 3rd now with 207 points - just 18 behind the Sheepwash brothers. Team Bennetton are still in the hunt in 4th, with Hypno finding the form from last season and Satak0 improving all the time. The Rucking Funts have picked up in recent races and need to build on that to mount a serious challenge at the top. With a full driver line up expected in the next two races for the Back Grid Boys who have missed the last 4 races and must be thinking what might be need to get back in the swing of things. Bring Back Tyrrell might not be a bad thing for the Virgins of Enkidu and Spunky, the latter getting DSQ'd in both last races due some questionable driving. So as the teams head off into the 2nd half of the season - what can be expected in Hungary and drivers favourite Belgium?

RACE 11 - HUNGARY

Season 2 Winner = Cheesman69Boi
Season 1 Winner = R0ckeye

The Hungaroring is one of the most technical and demanding circuits on the calendar, despite also being one of the slowest of the season. Martin Brundle once described it as "a street circuit without the houses". The track is made up of tight and complicated turns which require precise driving as one corner inevitably leads almost straight away to the next and so getting slightly offline will have consequences for the rest of the lap.

Unfortunately, there is little opportunity for the drivers to overtake and the race is invariably processional. Turn one provides the best chance to pass but there is little to no chance at the thirteen other corners, unless the driver in front makes a mistake, due to a mix of difficult bumps, cambers or by simply being too tight. Therefore, the pressure is on to pull out a good qualifying performance.

Here is a circuit map:

Lets go for a run around the track on board with Massa......

RACE 12 - BELGIUM

Season 2 Winner = Cheesman69Boi
Season 1 Winner = Sheepie UK

Fans reminisce about the great classic circuits but Spa came through the changes much better than others to produce one of the great modern circuits. As it follows the contours of the Ardennes mountains it remains the most thorough test of a Formula One car on the current calendar. Average lap speeds are high, aerodynamic loadings are prolonged, and handling is tested to the limit as 320 km/h (199 mph) straights combine with 70 km/h (43 mph) hairpins, several high-speed bends and, of course, the famous Eau Rouge. There is also the less famous Pouhon (turn 12) which is taken blind in sixth gear and which still allows the drivers to make the difference.

There is also the notoriously unpredictable Ardennes weather and a circuit that is soaked at one end and bone dry at the other is not unusual.

Here is the layout:

Lets go onboard for a lap around Spa with Alonso......

So can anyone stop Easy Target from pulling away?
Can Sheepie UK recreate his last win, 33 races ago in Spa again?

As always....... CU Next Time..... Very Happy
