RACE 17 AND 18 RESULTS

DAN THE MAN TAKES THE TITLE AS SAUSAGE MARCHES ON

Qualy for India was extremley close with the top 6 covered by only a second, but it was DantheMan who took pole and led from the start to claim another win. There was the usual first few corner tangles, Sheepie UK clashing with Satak0 who admitted after the race that perhaps the gap he thought was there wasn't and should have backed off. The results was two broken wings and an early pit stop for both, the stewards giving Sheepie UK a 10 second penalty too. Bannbino who had an outside chance of the title had to settle for 2nd only half a second behind Dan. Last years world chamption R0ckeye took a podium and must be wondering what might had been had he started off the season as he appears to tbe finishing it. Pacific Fox who certainly could be a danger in season 5 took 4th, Squeak83 getting a good 5th, with Marchin Sausage in 6th. Satak0 who is looking to snatch 4th place in the championship from Sheepie UK had to settle for 7th due to the earlier clashes with Sheepie UK getting back up to 8th. Iregretnothing appeared to change drivers half way through having got out for a piss in the pits but later denied it. He actually finished a race for a change for 9th with Bsheepie struggling for grip to get a point in 10th.

And so onto Abu Dhabi. Dan knowing that win would seal the championship lost pole on the last few minutes of qualy to R0ckeye who put in a superb 1.42.629 and nearly a second quicker. But come race day rain would play havoc with the teams and what was going to be the all important tyre choice of the drivers? DantheMan took his engineers advice and put on the inters where as most others took the gamble on softs thinking that not all the track was wet. Big Mistake. As the cars headed down to turn 1, those on the inters had grip and pulled ahead of those on the softs as they played out "Dancing on Ice". Drivers stayed out hoping the weather would change but most had to pit early for the inters, Richie D going for full wets - another mistake. Eventually 6 or so laps from the end the weather did dry up as the desert sun set and so everyone changed back onto the softs. The results overall though meant Dan took a 3rd straight win and become the 4th different world champion. Marchin Sausage for the second week running improved on a career best finish to take 2nd, with bannbino 3rd. R0ckeye got 4th, with Pacific Fox 5th, Satak0 6th and Sheepie UK 7th. Bsheepie 8th, Squeak 9th and the last point going to Thermal in 10th with Iregret 11th.

So as we head into the last two races, we have a new world drivers champion but with only a lead of 26 points, the team title is still up for grabs and Katie Price GP have one hand on it, but Dan will be out to try and claim a double, without a team mate since the start of the 2nd half of the season.
