SINGAPORE AND JAPAN RACE PREVIEWS
CIRCUS MOVES ONTO SINGAPORE AND JAPAN AS RUMOURS OF "CRASHGATE" CIRCULATE AND SPUNKY UK RECEIVES FORMAL WARNING
With just 6 races to go things are certainly hotting up. After the shenanigans in Monza with Spunky UK apparantly appearing to take out Bannbino, he has been formaly warned of his future conduct. The fact Bannbino recovered to take the win has certainly spared Spunky of more serious repercussions. He has been warned that a repeat incident will see him receive a points deduction and at worse stripped of his race license and banned from the championship and potentially future championships
Singapore in 2008 was the scene of the famous "Crashgate" scandal where Nelson Piquet Junior purposely crashed his Renault into a wall to allow the saftey car to close up the pack and ultimately help his team mate, Fernando Alonso gain the win. Here is a clip of the incident:

Sheepie UK was quick to quash any rumour of a similar nature that he had "done a deal" with Spunky UK to take out his nearest title challenger, Bannbino and the incident in Monza was down to, as Sheepie UK put it, "Spunky UK's driving miss daisy style. He's a bloody hazard". He went on to say that the road circuit in Singapore would claim it's own victims anyway, and that it was the worst track on the race calendar - not for it's setting but one slight error and your in the wall and finished
This is true. Singapore, a night race, is longer then the Monaco circuit but is far less forgiving, with some extreme tight corners and for those never raced there yet, coming out of the left hander at turn 12, run too wide on the right of the exit and the front of your car will smack straight into the start of an armcove along the short straight and WILL destroy it
Lets hear Webber's views on how to do it properly.........
Moving onto race 15, Japan and the Suzuka circuit. Built originally as a test track for Honda in the 60's, it's one of the oldest, a real exciting but challenging circuit for the driver with the back straight passing over the front section by means of an overpass. A couple of tricky corners which taken wrongly will see you in the sand with your bucket and spade.
Webber tells you how it's done.........
There could be at least one more new driver on the grid for Singapore and Japan, and with more drivers queuing up to join the action, season 2 is promising to be even better. But there is still loads to play for in this, the inaugral season 1 so can anyone do anything about the 19 point gap that Sheepie UK has opened up at the top? Bannbino, Tempy303, and Squeak83 certainly hope they can.
The big question is..... who's hosting?
