RACES 13/14/15 PREVIEW
TOYS, DUMMIES, IT'S ALL COMING OUT AS FEELINGS BOIL OVER
With 7 races left, it seems there is mutiny amongst the ranks of Kent360 racers. Bannbino has declared himself out despite the fact he looks certain to pick up the season 2 title and a minimum of £90 with a 29 point lead. Still fuming from his altercations at Hungary with Cheeseman, and issues at Spa, he's had enough for the time being at least of taking part in any more races. What does Bernie make of it all?
"Everyone has had issues - it wouldn't be racing without it and life would be very boring. There is no easy answer, the penalty systems are there but obviously aren't doing enough in certain cirumstances and things need to be addressed for season 3 - if we get a season 3." He went on.... "I can understand the frustrations of some drivers but nobody takes anyone out on purpose, and drivers should be gentlemanly enough to give the place back" Asked about Bannbino's stance to pull out he said "He's in the prime position and feeling the heat which is why he's reacted. But he's consistantly up there and narrowly missed out last season. He's maintained his 29 point lead despite the incident in race 11, makes him odds on favourite to take the title so I expect to see him on the grid in Monza"
Well only time will tell. With Bannbino still out in front on 128 points (for now at least) it's extremly close behind in the battle for honours. 2nd is Cheesman with 99 points, rookie Adman in 3rd with 98 points and still going strong, 4th is Hypno85 with 96 poitns with Sheepie UK 5th with 92. R0ckeye has closed up in 6th with 85 points, 7th is Tempy303 with 69 and looking to get in the top 6. Squeak83 drops to 8th having missed the previous rounds with 62 points, 9th is Villa John on 57 points and looking to recapture some of last seasons form at the end. 10th is Bsheepie also having to miss out on the previous rounds due to the crew bus braking down and not making it to any circuits. 11th is newbie Satak0 who has starting showing some good form and looking to mount a challenge into the last part of the season on 41 points. Bringing up the rear is EagleJay who with a career best 4th place in Hungary is now on 23.
So just how many cars if any will we see on the grid for the next races? Who know but lets look in more detail....
RACE 13 - ITALY - SEASON 1 WINNER = BANNBINO
The Italian Grand Prix (Gran Premio d'Italia) is one of the longest running events on the motor racing calendar. The first Italian Grand Prix motor racing championship took place on 4 September 1921 at Brescia. However, the race is more closely associated with the course at Monza, which was built in 1922 in time for that year's race, and has been the location for most of the races over the years. The Italian Grand Prix in recent years has been labelled as a jinx to the winning driver. Over the past two decades, only Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher have won the Italian Grand Prix and gone on to win the world championship in the same year. Last season, Bannbino took the honours but it wasn't without controversy - a standard saying these days in Kent360 racers. Penalties were dished out at turn 1, del Rettifilo which is a tight right, left hander. Bannbino, already on a 10 second penatly was then completly taken out by Spunky UK and the mic chatter was not pleasant that day. Bannbino received another 10 seconds through no fault of his own but still went on to win the race despite Hypno85 getting pole but was taking out at turn 1. Spunky UK after the race then jumped before he was pushed and took no further part in races.
Will Bannbino turn up and beat the jinx?
Let's go onboard for a lap around Monza.....
RACE 14 - SINGAPORE - SEASON 1 WINNER = BANNBINO
The race held around the road circuit in the Marina Bay area has only been on the calendar here since 2008. A night race under floodlights, it's a twisty tight circuit not as tight as Monaco but near enough. This means difficult overtaking and potential to wreck your car. Season 1 saw some close action as Bannbino took the win from R0ckeye by just 0.1 seconds with Villa John getting 3rd. Both the Sheepwash brothers failed to finish this race, the elder hoping not for a repeat "electrical" issue re-occuring. Some love this track others hate it - lets see a lap on board.......
RACE 15 - JAPAN - SEASON 1 WINNER = R0CKEYE
The Japanese Grand Prix has been the venue for many title-deciding races, with 12 World Champions being crowned over the 24 Japanese Grands Prix that have been hosted. The first two Japanese Grands Prix in 1976 and 1977 were held at the Fuji Speedway, before Japan was taken off the calendar. It returned in 1987 at Suzuka, who hosted the Grand Prix exclusively for 20 years and gained a reputation as one of the most challenging F1 circuits and still remains there today. Suzuka will always be chiefly remembered, however, for the legendary feud between Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna. During the 1989 Grand Prix, Senna tried to overtake Prost to keep his Championship hopes alive, only for Prost to shut the door as he had stated before the race, saying he would not be giving up the position simply for McLaren not to be embarrassed by a double retirement. Prost was beached and got out of his car promptly, knowing he had won the championship whilst Senna got a push from the marshals. It was deemed, however, that he had cut the chicane and eventually disqualified after making his way up to the lead and being first on the track. He was infuriated by the decision, as shown in a video of the pre-race drivers' briefing the following year,as fellow driver Nelson Piquet argued it was dangerous for a driver to go against the traffic just to make the chicane. At the ensuing 1990 Japanese Grand Prix, Senna mimicked Prost's statement of the previous year saying he would not move over if Prost attempted to overtake in the first corner — Senna started at pole, with Prost second (albeit on the racing line) —, resulting in the two crashing out and thus handing Senna his second world championship. Both drivers have been accused of crashing into the other deliberately and thus the two situations as well as their comments after both incidents have tainted both driver's reputations in the eyes of most but die hard fans. This starting to sound familiar?
Season 1 saw plenty of action as the wet weather dicatated the race. Bannbino described his overtake of Tempy on lap 5 as “the best overtaking manoeuvre of my career” which saw him take the lead only for worn tyres to spin him out and hand R0ckeye the win. Tempy got on the podium as Hypno also spun on the last few corners and missed out by 0.1 seconds. Villa John's pit crew messed up and will be hoping for a better performance this time round. Sheepie UK clashed with his brother to end up with a penalty and fall down the order.
Lets see some classic footage of Senna at Suzuka.......
So with all the talking going on off the circuit lets hope we get back to some classic action and racing on it over the next 3 races.......and we're talking about great moves not the n00b ones.......
As always...........CU Next Time!

Hardly
U-TURN NEWSFLASH!
Bernie entices bannbino back to KENT360RACERS by telling him to bring Indy Cart driving style back with him! In the press conference, bannbino was heard to say
"Everyone else drives like Indy Cart, so why shouldn't I? I can't be held responsible for my actions though - no one else is. Let's put an end to this Championship..."

Did further reflection on crossing the pond and racing round an Oval send Bannbino into a spin??? We'll never know but it's good to see that he is returning for the rest of the Season.

Bernie's added financial incentive is what swayed it...

Bernie is delighted but knew you would

Cheeseman's disappointment
Cheeseman was captured on camera when hearing the news of Bannbino's retirement.
He is said to be bitterly disappointment with the return of the title race leader...
